Donation of Chess Set

A hand crafted chess set, carved by Oscar Cahén from scrap wood while interned in Sherbrooke, Quebec in 1940, has been donated to the Archives by a generous family in the U.K. Photographs of the individual pieces and the set itself can be seen in the 'Chess' Gallery.
